ONLY 24 HOURS IN A DAY

We have left some of the hardware, namely door locks, escutcheons and backplates, in place.  As I clean up the doors to go back in the house, each set of hardware gets a modicum of attention.

There are only so many hours in a day.

Once the doors are hung, we will return and give each door the attention it deserves.  Right now, time is of the essence.

RAISING A STINK

A while back  I was charged with cleaning paint off the original brass hardware.  Not especially fun but the results are well worth it.  The job was never completed and it is now time for it to be so because the carpenter is hanging interior doors.  It was suggested that I take care of it whilst at the beach these previous weeks but that idea received a big "NO WAY"!

Standing over a boiling pot for hours was NOT, and IS NOT
my idea of how to spend my time at the beach.
Once home on Warren Road I tackled the job for an entire day...this time with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water.

Well worth a little elbow grease & stinking up the house with vinegar for a day.
