EXIT STAGE RIGHT

    The container which has lived on the property for a year is now gone!  This monstrosity has been a help and a hindrance since day 1 of our project.  It has been a place to store tools and architectural salvage (help) and at the same time blocked progress on moving forward with certain projects (hindrance).  It will be nice not only to move forward with building the back stoop and trimming the trees in the backyard , but also to not have that monthly bill to pay.

And soooooooooo.......

             These guys are back to clean up some big trees and grind some stumps.

I will continue to use Arborscapes for all our tree needs.   

And

The contractor can build the back stoop off the addition.

A RED LETTER DAY

    Today was a RED LETTER DAY.   Back in late August, this area experienced Hurricane Irene.  
A tree fell  in the next door neighbor's yard 8-27-11 and 3/4 of it hovered over our yard, endangering persons and property.  We have been trying for 3 months to strike some agreement regarding its removal.  The house is not occupied which made any effort to resolve the issue most difficult.  When I was at Hawthorne Ave this morning, it appeared the tree was gone.  It was such a surprise that I had to physically walk next door to stand on the spot where the tree once stood.

A tremendous thanks goes out to Beverly in the Community Assisted Public Safety department with the city for all her efforts in making this happen.  Now we can have our fence completed and our house and back yard are safe again.

ARBOR DAY

After obtaining several estimates and finding many people ill-equipped to take on the job, tree day arrived. Knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and thorough.  These guys are HIGHLY recommended in my book.
